The EMDC youth program, YouthFORCE, is funded by the Workforce Innovation and Opportunities Act and serves low-income, disadvantaged youth age 16-24 with barriers to employment. Career Compass is part of the EMDC youth program, YouthFORCE, is funded by the Workforce Investment Act and serves low-income, disadvantaged youth age 16-24 with barriers to employment. Services are provided for both in school youth at risk for dropping out and out of school youth, along with career advising and mentoring. Enrollment to our program provides young people with access to resources such as tuition assistance, training, work readiness, basic skills remediation, and work experience. We can also assist with career exploration, career assessment, job search assistance, and interview preparation.
