Position: General Accountant

Position Summary:
Responsible for payroll processing, A/P processing, cash disbursements, journal entry preparation, reconciliation of general ledger accounts, and data entry.
Representative Duties and Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable functions.
- Payroll Functions, including quarterly 941 reporting.
- Cash disbursement functions, including business lending programs.
- Assist in month-end processing.
- Assist in year-end audit preparation.
- File 1099 tax forms.
- Troubleshoot & reconcile accounts with vendors.
- Data Entry in computerized accounting system.
- Troubleshooting with Grants Management System.
- Performs other related activities, as required, to meet program and agency goals.
Position: Program Assistant--Lending
Department: Community & Business Services
Supervisor: Program Manager--Lending
Position Summary:
Performs a variety of support tasks for business lending programs. Maintains complete and accurate physical and electronic file records of clients and transactions. Prepares and reviews documents. Interviews loan applicants and others to elicit information. Assists with preparation and presentation of data and reports.
Representative Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintains complete and accurate files of loan records.
- Assists with assembly and compilation of documents for loan closings, such as insurance forms, loan forms, and financial reports.
- Contacts customers and agencies by mail, email, telephone, or in person concerning loan application and servicing.
- Compiles data and prepares a variety of reports and related documents.
- Prepares loan applications, closing documents, legal documents, letters, and forms.
- Verifies and examines information and accuracy of loan application and closing documents.
- Records applications for loan and credit, loan information, and disbursements of funds.
- Answers questions and advises customers regarding loans and transactions.
- Performs other related activities, as required, to meet program and agency goals.
