REGISTRATION IS NOW OPENADDRESSING MAINE'S HEALTH WORKFORCE NEEDS AT THE REGIONAL LEVEL
Purpose
Meet and network on a regional basis
Receive an update on health workforce initiatives at the state and regional level
Identify and discuss health workforce data and employer health workforce needs
Identify and discuss barriers for students and workers to receive training
Develop strategies and determine next action steps
Who
Healthcare professionals and employers, policymakers, educators, economic developers, labor and employment specialists and anyone involved in training, hiring or employing health professionals

Economic Development Alert!
NBRC Grant Funds Now Available
Sandy Blitz, the Federal Co-Chair of the
Northern Border Regional Commission (NBRC), announced that the next round of
grant funds are now available for federal assistance, and, will begin accepting
applications. Chairman Blitz stated that
“It is our goal to award approximately $1.2 million by late Summer, 2013”. He
further indicated that the maximum grant for any applicant will be $200,000 of
NBRC funds.
